Although science fiction movies and books often deal with this idea, the scientific world continues to show interest in the idea of ​​time travel. In other words, if an astronaut travels into space at high speeds, much less time passes than on Earth. However, this is only a theoretical situation. In real life, a huge amount of energy is needed to reach the speed of light and travel time in this way. This is not possible with current technology.

Whether time travel is actually possible is usually associated with complex physical concepts such as quantum mechanics and the theory of general relativity. For example, the warping of space-time around celestial bodies with great gravitational pull, such as black holes, can cause time to flow at different speeds. Time around black holes may function differently for a planet moving rapidly. According to some scientists, this theory could open the door to time travel, but for this to happen, technology and knowledge would need to be much more advanced. At the moment, it is almost impossible to even observe such phenomena.

If a wormhole really exists, according to this theory, a person could instantly travel from one point to another, creating a situation similar to time travel. In addition, wormholes are thought to be very unstable structures and can only exist for a very small period of time.


The idea of ​​time travel still remains a big question mark for many scientists. As of 2024, we do not have definitive evidence as to whether time travel is possible. However, more and more people are working on these theories every year and trying to discover new ways for time travel to become a reality one day.
